Response to providing supplies for ballistic missiles.
On Wednesday, the Treasury Department announced U.S. sanctions against five North Korean individuals, one in Russia and four in China, who helped to provide North Korea with the resources to conduct ballistic missile testing. North Korea has launched six ballistic missiles in the last four months, the most recent of which was reported landing in the Sea of Japan on Tuesday.
“Today’s actions, part of the United States’ ongoing efforts to counter the DPRK’s weapons of mass destruction and ballistic missile programs, target its continued use of overseas representatives to illegally procure goods for weapons,” Under Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence Brian Nelson stated.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Treasury Department officials as they attempt to curb illegal nuclear development.
- For diplomats in the Department of State as they work to unite with the international community against foreign threats.
- For the president and his advisors to seek God’s wisdom in navigating communication with North Korea.
